    The Town of Worthington is seeking residents interested in serving on the Town Council.

    Please consider stepping forward to help our community grow and succeed.

    If you are interested, you may download and fill out the form below and submit it to our office as directed.

    We operate with a single phone line and manage a high volume of

    meetings and conference calls.

    and we will return your call or attend to your request as soon as possible.

    Interested parties must meet the requirements outlined in WV Code §8-5-7(c)

    Worthington Town Council Remote Meeting Access Information:
    The Zoom meeting link will be posted at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16. The meeting will be called to order at 6:00 p.m.
    For the best experience when joining the meeting, participants are encouraged to select "Use Browser" and then "Join the Meeting."
    To ensure the orderly conduct of council business, speaking privileges will be limited to council members. All other participants will be muted by the host.
    Participants may enter the meeting using either their real name or a nickname. Individuals using inappropriate names will not be admitted.
    Participants may choose whether to enable their camera. Any video displaying inappropriate behavior, gestures, or content will result in removal from the meeting.
    All attendees are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner to allow council business to be conducted efficiently and without disruption.

    Given that recent public comment periods have devolved into disruption and unnecessary delay,

    and because public comment is not required under open meeting laws,

    Worthington Town Council meetings will not include a public comment period at this time.

    Council is not required to engage in dialogue or debate during meetings. Municipal policies clearly state that public comment, when utilized, is intended to allow citizens to present information or express opinions, not to conduct back-and-forth exchanges with officials during proceedings.

    Anyone speaking out of turn or disrupting the meeting will first receive a warning. Continued disruption will result in removal from the proceeding.

    In accordance with provisions of West Virginia Code §6-9A-3, agendas will be made available

    no less than three (3) business days prior to regular meetings.

    * Meetings will begin at 5pm following the "Fall back" time change and return to 6pm following the "Spring forward" time change. (Unless otherwise announced)

    Special meeting - two business days before the meeting.
